INSPECTION IN THE HARVEST AND THE PACKING PLANT
BANANA
Supervision of Qualified Clusters
Objective: supervise the status of the clusters to verify the conditions of the pulp (kernel) and determine its process according to quality specifications.
- Pulp conditions
- Grade (under and over grade)
- Damages (physical, mechanic and physiological)
- Others (full grade, old fruit)
Then it will be issued a certificate of the qualification of the clusters and the quantity and reason of rejection
The inherent vice conditions, harvest age, number of functional leaves and others; of each cluster, due to the cultural and agronomic management because of the plantation and that aren't detected during the qualification process are the absolute producer responsibility.
Supervision of Processes and Quality
Objective: supervise the packing process and the performance of the quality specifications requested by the client.
- Quality specifications by brand and destiny.
- Biocides and chemicals used for treatment.
- Cleaning and genera I conditions of the plant.
- Cluster’s traceability (according to what was observed during the qualification)
- Cluster dehandling process, and placement in the stack for the latex elimination.
- Cluster sanitizing.
- Cluster selection, by quality type for the creation of boxes, weight and their sealing.
- Minimum time spend by the cluster in the water.
- Pallets creation.
- Random evaluation of the finished boxes.
- Analysis of the traceability of the fruit.
Container and Quantity Supervision
Our supervisor will:
- Verify the external and internal conditions of the container.
- If the container travels with the cooling unit connected from the packaging, a verification of the ventilation and cooling unit programming (charge temperature).
- Quantity verification by counting pallets and boxes.
- Verification of the references vs. the packing list or invoice.
- Laying of the temperature monitors (thermographs), in case the client asked for.
- Sealing of the container.
- Taking of pictures of the packing and loading processes.
Also, it’s offer a weekly visit to the field and if it’s necessary a visit to the port.
INSPECTION OF THE PRODUCTS AT THE LOADING PORT
Supervision of the containers, vessel's holds and quantities
Our supervisor will verify:
- The external and internal conditions of the containers that take the fruit to the loading port and the vessel's hold.
- Ventilation and programming of the cooling unit (cooling temperature of the charge), if the container travels with the cooling unit connected from the packing plant, to the case of the vessel's hold, pre cooling work.
- Quantification of quantities: by counting pallets and determination of the total shipping boxes.
- That the traceability is correct for each packing, according to the specification.
- Placement of temperature monitors (thermographs).
- Filling of the vessel's hold to avoid harm, damages and excessive handling of the fruit.
- Sealing of the vessel's hold under deck with TRUST CONTROL seals.
- Taking of digital pictures of the conditions of the charge and vessel's holds (tighten up and sealing of the spaces with airbags).
BANANA
Random Evaluation of the Finished Product
Our supervisor will make an inspection by sampling the boxes processed during the day in order to quantify the quality of the final product and that it fulfills the quality specifications, the verified conditions are:
- Packing pattern: weak packing, falling, use of the division, plastic bag, laying of the fruit, others.
- Growth damages: dry scars, of growth, scar by foam, others.
- Damages during the process: mistreat, packing damage, process damage (packing plant), tip scar, neck injury, others.
- Damages out of specification: maturity stain spekling, fumagina, split peel, mutilate finger, flowers, residues, others.
- Weight of the final product.
- Grade and large of the packed fruit.
- Temperature of the pulp of the fruit.
- Water pH at the box and the fruit crown.
- Fulfillment of the quality specifications.
- Load conditions: traceability, plastic stripping, pallets presentation, sinister during the transit (fallen pallets).
Then a statistical report is made, it reflects the conditions seen at the packing plant, in addition to the electronic and physical certificates of the different charges, a report of the opportunities observed during the process and a database on the statistical information of the current and the accumulated inspections.
